NAAS Botanics is a small, family-owned health and beauty business based in Jamaica. The company officially opened in Summer of 2025 with just two products: turmeric goat’s milk soap and charcoal goat’s milk soap.
It started as a hobby and now operates as a small online boutique shop. Our team is our small family, NAAS, which stands for Nora (our youngest), Alleyah (our first), Andre (my husband), and Sasha (me!).
We chose to sell goat’s milk soap because it’s rich in natural nutrients that nourish the skin. Goat’s milk is packed with vitamins, minerals, and moisturizing fats. These nutrients help calm dryness, irritation, and sensitive skin issues. Moreover, its gentle cleansing works well for all skin types, including those prone to eczema, psoriasis, and acne.
The Main Girl Behind NAAS Botanics
Sasha Campbell founded this company based on her lifelong passion for natural remedies and holistic health. As a certified herbalist, Sasha believes in the healing power of plants and natural ingredients to support wellness. She spent over 18 years researching and studying herbal medicine.
With knowledge of plant medicine, Sasha launched this company to share the benefits of natural remedies with others seeking natural ways to support their health and well-being.
Since “her eyes were at her knees,“ Sasha has been fascinated by nature. As an avid gardener and plant lover, she began experimenting with essential oils, herbs, and other natural ingredients to create homemade beauty and skincare products. She also chooses herbs and natural remedies over prescription and over-the-counter medications for minor illnesses. Moreover, the family plants their organic backyard vegetable garden to avoid buying vegetables sprayed with synthetic pesticides.
Sasha’s first product was an aluminum-free, all-natural deodorant. She created it after realizing that her conventional deodorant was making her sick. She created a natural alternative after struggling for years with sensitive skin and harsh reactions to mainstream deodorants containing aluminum, parabens, and synthetic fragrances. She spent months researching ingredients and formulations to develop an effective, all-natural, aluminum-free deodorant. As a result, Naas Botanics’ Detoxifying Deodorant was born.
Today, Sasha’s passion for wellness and green living fuels her mission to create nourishing products for the body so that her customers can embrace nature. Her popular line is handcrafted using natural ingredients you can actually pronounce.
True to Our Roots!
Our Jamaican location allows us to source some of the freshest, highest-quality ingredients. For example, Cerasee and Neem are ingredients in two of our in-house (will be available to the general public soon) soaps. We source these around the home and community. We planted a neem tree a few years ago just for the sake of planting a tree, and it’s paying off now. There is also cerasee growing wild locally.
In addition, we have an upcoming dried herb line that will focus on local herbs and leaves such as Guinea Hen Weed, Sour Sop Leaf, Cerassee, Fever Grass, Bissy, Guava Leaves, Pimento, Moringa, Neem, and more.
While living in Westmoreland, working in the tourism industry made me realize how much “foreigners” enjoy Jamaican products, especially bush and arts and crafts. Therefore, I know they will appreciate our website making our local herbs accessible to them.
Product Quality
We believe that natural ingredients are best for both you and the environment. That’s why we handcraft all our products using natural ingredients.
Every product is made in small batches to ensure quality. We NEVER use artificial colors, fragrances, or preservatives. Only natural essential oils and extracts are used for scent and aromatherapy benefits.
Our ingredients are organic and fair trade whenever possible. We source locally first, and if an ingredient is unavailable locally, we buy from overseas fair trade and organic suppliers. We also carefully handcraft each product with mindfulness and care.
Our Products
We are currently focusing on beauty soaps. As mentioned, turmeric, neem, charcoal, and cerasee goat’s milk soap are available. The soap line will continue expanding as we conduct deeper research and collect customer feedback.
Another upcoming product is our all-natural detoxifying deodorant. We have been making and using it within our family for the past eight years. However, the ingredients are difficult to source, so we cannot make the products available on a large scale now.
